HELP WITH ACE

If you are a first time coach/manager log onto www.registerasa.com and create a member profile.

Once you have submitted a profile the system will say that you will receive an activation link through the email. If you do not receive this email, please email our Office Manager Sandy Scott at sscott@norcalasa.org so she can look up your account and activate it for you.

For returning coach/managers please email Sandy at sscott@norcalasa.org so she can look up your profile and email you back the User Name and Password.

Instructions for the new registration system
HOW TO CHANGE YOUR ROSTERS FROM STANDARD TO CHAMPIONSHIP

When their team status is showing is as approved they will need to do the following to create the Championship Roster:

1.    Pull up their team on the system

2.    Click on their our name

3.    Scroll down to the Notes section and type in a couple of SPACE BARS.

4.    Click the Save Button.

5.    This will put them back into a PENDING STATUS.

6.    Now that the team is Pending they will need to click on the SUBMIT button to generate an invoice.

7.    When the invoice box comes up make sure to change the roster type from Standard to Championship then submit.

8.    When they have the new invoice number, then they need to email me so I can approve it.

All Youth personal in the dugout or on the field must be ACE certified (which now includes a background check).  This goes for all recreation league teams and all travel teams.

For the Nor Cal ASA Championship Tournament coaches must wear their  ACE Certification Card. 
(Lanyard is provided with ACE card when mailed to you)

In the past coaches were able to do the ACE test at Nor Cal ASA Championships, but because of the background check that is required this will be impossible.  If your coaches show up without their ACE Certification and Background check they will not be able to be in the dugout at all.

All ACE Certification will now include BACKGROUND checks (there will be no additional cost in '10).  Here is a link to the criteria that will be used in the background checks for all personnel in the dugout.  

As we progress toward the Summer Travel Ball season the processing of your ACE Certification/Background Check could take 
2 - 4 weeks by the ASA National Office.  
We suggest that you plan accordingly.

Nor Cal ASA requires all recreation league and travel ball staff in the dugout be ACE certified.  The ACE site will be back up after the first of the year.
When creating your Online PROFILE,  be sure to enter your name as it is shown on your driver’s license.  For coaches renewing years 2, 3 and continuing education, please make sure you enter your name the same as in previous years.  You should then be able to edit your name to reflect the same as shown on your driver’s license.

Official Championship Rosters (Liability Waivers) that are printed off of REGISTER ASA will be accepted at the Nor Cal Association Championships.   The REGISTER ASA Official Championship Roster must have the players

2010 Member ID Number next to their name.  (If it has “Last registered 2009…..” next to the player’s name,  then this is not a completed roster and will be not signed off.)

Photo I.D. Cards:  If you do not received your Photo ID Cards from Register ASA by the tournament date, please bring the following:  Please print the "Edit Player" screen off of Register ASA.  This page will show the players I.D. Number and will also have a copy of their picture.  This will be acceptable at check-in.

Nor Cal ASA Pre-qualifiers

All Grapette/BRAT Tournaments in 2010 are considered Nor-Cal pre-qualifiers. 
The R.R. Gold Tournaments are not Nor-Cal ASA pre-qualifiers. 

Only 10u, 12u and 14u “A” teams and all “B & C” Nor-Cal ASA Association teams must play in one ASA pre-qualifying tournament prior to the Association Championships.
